Press Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Entrepreneur and Business Leader Montrella Rhodes Announces Debut Book, Beyond the Window: Lessons in Entrepreneurship from the Food Truck Industry

New book uses more than a decade of experience in the food truck industry to share practical lessons on entrepreneurship, leadership, systems, relationships, and legacy.

ATLANTA, GA — August 2026 — Entrepreneur, business leader, consultant, and author Montrella Rhodes announces the upcoming release of her debut book, Beyond the Window: Lessons in Entrepreneurship from the Food Truck Industry, published by The Rhodes Group Press and scheduled for release on September 10, 2026.

Drawing from more than a decade of experience working alongside food truck owners and entrepreneurs, Rhodes takes readers beyond what customers see at the service window and into the decisions, systems, relationships, preparation, and leadership required to build a sustainable business.

“Customers only see what happens at the window. Success is built by everything that happens behind it,” Rhodes writes.

Rhodes entered the Atlanta food truck industry in 2015 when she began helping friends build the business behind their food truck. Her strengths in booking, operations, marketing, relationship management, and evaluating business opportunities eventually led to the creation of The Rhodes Group Food Truck Booking, Management & Consulting.

Since 2018, Rhodes has also served the Food Truck Association of Georgia (FTAG) as Executive Administrator, working with food truck entrepreneurs, corporate and community partners, association leadership, and large-scale vending opportunities throughout Georgia.

But Beyond the Window isn’t simply a book about food trucks.

Using the food truck industry as a real-world classroom, Rhodes explores lessons applicable to entrepreneurs and leaders across industries, including building effective systems, evaluating opportunities, protecting your reputation, developing meaningful business relationships, leading with integrity, adapting through changing seasons, and creating a legacy that extends beyond financial success.

Rhodes also draws from her broader entrepreneurial journey, including business consulting, entertainment management, direct sales, association leadership, family entrepreneurship, gourmet food production, and publishing.

Throughout the book, she challenges readers to reconsider how they define success. Rather than focusing solely on revenue, recognition, or growth, Beyond the Window encourages entrepreneurs to consider the people they serve, the systems they build, the reputation they develop, and the impact their leadership will leave behind.

For Rhodes, the book is also deeply personal. Her entrepreneurial foundation began in St. Louis, Missouri, where she watched her father, Albert Holbrook, build several businesses and learned early lessons about ownership, perseverance, and providing for family. Her mother’s faith, encouragement, and service to others provided an equally important foundation for Rhodes’ approach to leadership.

Those experiences eventually followed her from St. Louis to Georgia and became part of the leadership philosophy she shares today.

Beyond the Window is the first book published by The Rhodes Group Press, an independent publishing company created to publish practical, purpose-driven works that equip leaders, encourage entrepreneurs, preserve wisdom, and inspire action.
